Colorectal Cancer - 78-year-old female with colon carcinoma presents with lung nodule

History
78-year-old female with colon carcinoma presents with lung nodule on chest CT for staging.

PET Findings
There is a focus of increased tracer accumulation in the posterior mid left lung. This corresponds to the CT abnormality and is indeterminate for the malignancy. This may well represent inflammatory process. Follow-up CT and/or PET scanning is urged. There is slight increased tracer accumulation in the region of the hilia, but is not definitive for metastatic disease. The remainder of the tracer distribution is physiologic with no abnormal tracer accumulation in the liver or retroperitoneal structures.
