Breast Cancer -
76-year-old female
History
A 76-year-old female with a history of breast cancer diagnosed in 1987. She had a right mastectomy in 1997. Patient has known metastatic disease to the right axillary and supraclavicular nodes. Bone scan showed osseous metastatic disease. PET is requested to evaluate extent of disease.
PET Findings
Widespread metastatic disease, with evidence of multiple osseous metastases, hepatic metastases and metastatic mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy. Also noted is FDG uptake in the abdomen indicating placement of a graft for repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
